The Saint George on a Bike (SGoaB) project held a kick off meeting at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) on 3-4 March 2020. Partners from BSC and Europeana attended the meeting to discuss topics such as roles and responsibilities and the technical progress of each institution.
SGoaB runs from September 2019 to August 2022 with a funding of almost €1.5M, 75% of which is from the European Commission´s Innovation and Networks Executive Agency. The project focuses on providing a high-performance metadata enrichment capability for the European Data Infrastructure (EUDAT) by using HPC resources in the cultural heritage domain.
