SGoaB introduces the concept of the TimeMatrix in two-day webinar

Saint George on a Bike researchers from the Barcelona Supercomputing Center introduced the concept of the TimeMatrix to participants of the two-day TimeMatrix for Researchers webinar held on 9-10 September 2020.

The instructors of the webinar were Maria Cristina Marinescu (Senior researcher of semantic technologies at BSC and the coordinator of the Saint George on a Bike project), Joaquim More Lopez (Natural Language Processing Expert) and Artem Reshetnikov (Deep learning researcher). Antoine Isaac, R&D manager from Europeana, was also present to help with answering questions.

The first day of the webinar started with a general overview of the issues surrounding cultural heritage images then went on to explain the meaning and challenges of the TimeMatrix. The second day focused on the technical aspects of the TimeMatrix and what the Saint George on a Bike project is doing in this field.
